by far the best exercise to build muscle is squatting. May you cringe at the thought of squatting. Let's face it, most guys hate squatting, because it is difficult to do, women do not usually care much about the guys legs, not your upper body workout, there are a lot of inaccurate information about the squats are bad for your back or knees, so you can probably come up several other excuses not to squats.
The truth is though that as long as squats done correctly they are great! No other exercise will give you the benefits of squats give you. Squatting actually causes your body to produce more testosterone, which in turn helps you build more muscle which in turn burns fat. You can also use your upper body when you squat more than most people realize. Not only is work your core muscles to support the weight, but you also work your arms and back. As you increase the weight on the squats, upper body will adapt to support the extra weight.
If you're trying to build muscle, but are not squatting, then you need to start immediately. It is imperative that you use proper form. I suggest that you start very easy. Focus first on technique and get those stabilizer muscles that are used to support low weight. Once the form is perfect to slowly add some weight. Continue to add weight consistently. Make a couple of warm up sets first then create 5 sets of 5-6 repetitions to start with. Make sure not to over do it right off the bat. This can lead to injury or could cause you to be so painful that you will not be able to work for 2 weeks.
the correct form is critical to the exercises, like squats. If you have back pain or knee pain probably do not work properly. Be sure to look straight ahead. Keep your feet slightly more than shoulder width apart. Point your toes just a little bit. Keep your back straight. Squat down so your thighs are parallel to the floor or slightly past parallel. Make sure your knees stay behind the tips of his fingers and then push up.
Do not allow your ego to prevent run the light. It's really important to support the muscles ready before they are exposed to heavy weights. You also need to make sure the form is perfect before you try to go hard. Always use safety bars and safety clips when performing squats. Get someone to spot you as you increase the weight.
